Evangelical Free Church Burlington
As part of the Evangelical Free Church of America, we are one of over 1,500 autonomous churches united by a mutual commitment to serve our Lord Jesus Christ with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and obedience to the Word of God.
The term Evangelical refers to our commitment to the proclamation of the Gospel and to the authority of the Bible as the inerrant Word of God.
The term Free refers to our form of church government which assures that our local churches are free from a central controlling body.
OUR PURPOSE
WORSHIP
We come together to offer a response of gratitude from our hearts to God for Who He is and What He has done for us.
DISCIPLESHIP
We gather together to study, learn and apply the truth of the Word of God to our lives so that we may grow in Christlikeness.
FELLOWSHIP
We are here to encourage and support one another as members of God’s family.
MINISTRY
We believe God has shaped each follower of Jesus Christ with unique gifts and abilities to serve and build up one another in the Body of Christ. We gather together to identify, develop and use those gifts to serve one another and our community.
EVANGELISM
It is our desire to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who are not Christ followers so that they will place their trust in Jesus Christ as their personal savior and that they will experience this new life in Christ.
